Scientific seminar “Influence of the sectoral structure and the resource sector on labor productivity: a view from the regions of Russia”
The seminar discussed the impact of the structure of the economy on labor productivity and economic growth in the Russian regions. The topics of the seminar included the following:
- What is the impact of sectoral structure on economic growth and labor productivity?
- Which regions of Russia are leaders in productivity? Due to what industries (types of economic activity) is this leadership formed?
- Can it be argued that resource regions are more economically efficient than non-resource regions?
- Methodological problems of assessing labor productivity in the regions of Russia.
